Employees paid on time, payroll taxes handled, and every payroll posted correctly to your books. Added to any monthly bookkeeping plan.
Short answer: We run payroll through QuickBooks Payroll as an add-on to monthly bookkeeping, for $150–400 a month depending on headcount and pay frequency. That covers direct deposit, payroll tax deposits and filings through QuickBooks Payroll, year-end W-2s, and 1099s for contractors, with each payroll posted to your books.
When payroll lives in a separate app, it's common to see payroll taxes double-counted, owner pay booked as an expense in the wrong place, or wage totals that don't match the W-2s. When the same firm runs payroll and keeps the books, it ties out every cycle and there's nothing to untangle at year end.
Kansas City employers often have people living or working on both sides of the state line. We set up state withholding for where each employee lives and works.
